I still haven’t been able to post from our trip to Egypt last Christmas. We had a lovely time and I took lots of pictures, but I still haven’t been through all the pictures but now I hope to be able to post some of our doings in Egypt. I hope you’ll enjoy the post even though they are “slightly” late =)

December 23Th, 2012
The migraine was gone and on the schedule today was breakfast with my Grandmother and Uncles. So after getting ready in the morning we pilled in the car and drove to my Grandmothers house.
We brought with us Foul and Ta’ameya sandwiches and once there we found my third uncle there also. Two of my uncles live in Cairo and the third lives in Paris. So it was a nice coincidence to met him there.
It was a nice reunion with lots of hugs and kisses, after all it had been four and some years.
We ate breakfast and visited with them for a couple of hours, and also my Aunt who came by when she heard that we had come. It was lively seeing them all.
A couple hours later we started our way back home, we did have some packing to do for our trip as well as some shopping.
Returning home we had a rest but then Andy and I took a walk over to Road 9 and bought postcards and some other good to have things. We made sure to visit all of my favorite spots but also have a small bite at our favorite cafe on Road 9, Costa.
Unfortunately Costa no longer had the service or the feel of before and it just felt like another chain coffee shop which was really sad.
We ordered a Raspberry Ice Tea, coffee and a chicken wrap to share. The best thing was the raspberry ice tea. To bad our great place no longer delivers.
We decided to try our luck at a cache in the area. Unfortunately luck wasn’t on our side today and we had to go home without the cache.
At home we made sure to pack our clothes and such as well as food, drinks for Christmas and as well as the Christmas presents. Packing took longer than expected so after we were done it was pretty much time for dinner.
My parents had been talking about a Thai-place in their building that had great food so we tried them for dinner. It’s a small place with pretty much 6 seats, so we filled up the joint. The food was wonderful, we ate and laughed for quite a while. Really a great place! Lots of yummy foods and it was nice to have some quality time with my Parents and Wilderbeast.
We walked back to our apartment or maybe I should say rolled… And then some last minute packing and then it was time for bed. An early morning awaited us…
