Canada day 16

Oh my mind is still full of pictures and images of all the beautiful nature we have seen the last couple of days… It has been breathtaking… But I do feel like I need some time to get it all aligned in my head…
Andy’s Dad rushed of to work today, even before I got up. I was really tired and I didn’t wake up until 9 a.m.  The others had already eaten breakfast and they were up doing their thing while I just rested. I guess I needed it…
At around 10.15 I had breakfast and then we decided to make a shopping day of it. Out at the Dix30 area, where we’ve been before on this trip, but since we wanted to do some scouting before the shopping trip to the US we didn’t buy anything.
Andy, his Mom and I took the car south towards Dix30. Our first stop was Canadian Tires, where Andy’s parents wanted to hop on the great deal that we did on the Kitchen Aid pots-and-pan-set. Unfortunetly they had stopped selling it for the great price that we found it at. Darn!
The rain was pouring down – insane, so we had to run between the car and the stores…Next shop was Rona, kind of a carpentry store (like Bauhaus for all you Swedes). Andy’s Dad wanted us to check on some lawnmowers there. A quick stop.
We had lunch at Subways – a regular lunch spot for us right now. Just the right amount of food and it does really taste very good. Also there is always a new taste if you are so inclined… I’m not, I usually go for two or three different kinds, but the variety is really good…
Then we moved on towards Pier 1 Imports, Andy’s Moms and my favorite Canadian store. We had be talking back and forth about these tasting-sets that we had seen and that we really wanted, the only issue was which ones we wanted… We finally decided and did quite a lap in the store to see if they had anything new =)
Then we went to Sail, where Andy was in heaven. They have a large hunting-equipment area, so he ran around like a boy in a candy store. Unfortunetly for him, you can’t buy guns or riffles to take home, because I’m sure he’d like a couple or more =) But Andy did find lots of great hunting things, clothes, riffle locks and so on… So all in all a great shopping trip for him…
Then we decided to have coffee at Tim Hortons, a good donut can beat any day of shopping =) I had a Boston Creme, Andy had a regular with glaze and Andy’s Mom had a lovely one with blue and Yellow sprinkles – Hello Sweden! =)
The weather was looking a lot better on the way home, it had stopped raining and the sun was shining. We were kind of in a little rush, since Andy’s parents were having people over for dinner…
The Montreal City skyline…

Dinner mini-sliders (mini burgers) with the works…

The night sky….
